MEET THE TEAM
Following a diverse career in numerous successful entrepreneurial ventures, Aetius found his true passion in the trade data mining and analytics space.
In 2004 Aetius started Manifest Journals which provided customers with actionable intelligence from trade data. The firm extracted and mined data from the US Customs Import and Export Databases and several other countries’ publicly available customs declarations and bills of lading data sets.
Aetius successfully sold Manifest Journals to Datamyne in 2014, where he served as Vice President. Aetius served in this capacity through Datamyne’s acquisition by Descartes Systems Group in 2017.
Aetius lives in Tampa, Florida, with his wife Jill and son Michael.
Fascinated during his early education by subjects that influenced a successful career in analytics, Kurt excelled in math and found his niche in college statistics. At Thunderbird School of Global Management he created elaborate Excel models for his entrepreneurship classes, and by then he was hooked on business analytics.
Kurt has served as a consultant for numerous Fortune 500 and public companies, including The World Bank/International Finance Corporation; Merck & Co; Verizon Wireless; and American Electric Power. He has consulted on the use of many leading analytics platforms.
He worked on the Hyperion business intelligence implementation team before leaving to start Bison Analytics in 2006.
Kurt lives in Central Pennsylvania with his wife Amy and their four young children: Finn, Evie, Ori, and Arden.
